Cookie policy

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. This page explains the two items it stores in your browser and why.

Last updated: September 2026

1.About this policy

This policy explains how Trestec Technology Limited (trading as Trestec) uses cookies and similar technologies on trestec.ai and on the Trestec platform. It should be read with our privacy policy.

2.What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, let a website save information on your device in the same way. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) the same rules apply to all of them: a website must ask for your consent before storing or reading information on your device, unless an exception applies, for example because the storage is strictly necessary for a service you have asked for.

3.What this website stores

This website does not set any cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising, social media tracking or any other tracking technology.

It stores two items in your browser's local storage:

NameTypePurposeHow long
trestec-audienceLocal storageRemembers whether you chose financial services or other sectors on the homepage, so the site shows you the right content. It holds only that choice and is never sent to us.Until you clear it from your browser
trestec-notice-dismissedLocal storageRemembers that you closed the announcement at the top of the site, so it does not appear again. It holds only which announcement you closed and is never sent to us.Until you clear it from your browser

Because these items only remember choices you have made about how the site appears to you, and are not used to track you, we do not ask for consent before storing it.

4.Third party services

The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, it sends Google your IP address and browser information, as it would for any web request. Google states that the Google Fonts service does not set cookies. Google's own privacy policy applies to that information. Some photographs are loaded from Unsplash, which receives your IP address and browser information in the same way.

The servers that deliver this website receive your IP address and similar technical information in order to send you the pages. This does not involve storing anything on your device.

5.The Trestec platform

When you sign in to the Trestec platform, it stores information in your browser that is needed to keep you signed in securely, to remember which organisation you are working in, and to keep supplier portal sessions working. This storage is strictly necessary for the service you have asked for, so it does not need consent. The platform does not use advertising or third party tracking cookies.

6.How to control and delete stored information

You can delete these items, and any cookies or site data, at any time through your browser's settings, usually under privacy or site data. Most browsers also let you block sites from storing information. If you clear the audience choice, the homepage will simply ask again or show the default content. If you block storage on the platform, you will not be able to stay signed in.

7.Changes to this policy

If we add analytics or any other cookies in future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting them.
